Sori Yanagi Stainless Steel and Birch Wood Handle Flatware
Pick up a piece of this flatware and you'll immediately notice the difference — the smooth warmth of birchwood meeting cool stainless steel, joined with such precision that the seam is virtually invisible. This is craftsmanship at its finest, handmade in Niigata, Japan.

About Sori Yanagi
Sori Yanagi's kitchen product series began with an extensive line of cutlery in 1974, expanding to include pots, pans, kettles, colanders, bowls, knives, utensils and cast iron grills. His design philosophy nurtures simplicity and the inclusion of small ideas that affect us in big ways.
Often listed alongside legendary masters of industrial design like Charles & Ray Eames and Arne Jacobsen, Yanagi is considered one of Japan's most influential product designers and a leader of the post-war industrial design movement. Credited as the father of Japanese modern design, his iconic Butterfly Stool (1956) is part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
